The ‘60’ references the door leaf thickness of 60mm; standard composite doors achieve a lot less, only 43mm.
Gerda Doors are manufactured using a combination of steel and aluminium, which allows them to offer enhanced thermal efficiency, with front-to-back dimensions ranging from 60mm to 88mm and thermal performance between 0.79 W/m2K to 1.3 W/m2K. This high performance does not detract from their stunning aesthetics, with colour finishes from light walnut to a more industrial steel grey plus stunning door handles.
The Gerda door’s security credentials are very impressive too, with a 13-point locking system. Gerda doors pass the RC3 anti-burglary test. They are a great option for second homes or if you’re often away from your property.
